Special Assessment Meeting Recap

Timberline Community Club Neighbors. Thank you to everyone who set aside time to join us at the Special Assessment Meeting (via Zoom) last night. Thank you for your engagement, your great questions, and your patience in meeting virtually rather than in person. We discussed in detail the Special Assessment and answered questions regarding the benefits and concerns of hiring a management company. A representative of our legal counsel to the Association was present to answer questions regarding Washington State Law and to give assurance that we’ve followed it closely throughout this process. After everyone was given an opportunity to share or ask questions, a vote was called. Of the approximately 50 in attendance (virtually), 4 votes were cast against the Special Assessment, the rest abstained (approved). Prior to the meeting we received 34 signed proxies voting against the Special Assessment. During the meeting 5 more were delivered in person to President Ben Coffin’s door. One additional vote against was cast via email just after the meeting concluded. The Board decided to count it. In total, 44 votes were cast against the Special Assessment (just under 10% of our TCC). 228 votes against were required to reject the Special Assessment, therefore the Special Assessment is ratified and will be due on or before October 1, 2020 for every home. Invoices will be mailed to each homeowner. The Board is encouraged that the vast majority of our community agrees this is a significant decision toward the maintenance and improvement of our great neighborhood. You have our commitment to represent you to the best of our ability in the selection of a management company. Watch for communications in the weeks and months ahead announcing our choice. Special Assessment Meeting Minutes will be posted to our website when they become available.
