Message from the King County Sheriff Department

Since the 1st of the year, Sammamish as had 35 car break-ins, many in that northern area of town.  We want to make sure that all of our homeowners are reminded to just do the following:

1.       Do not leave anything visible inside the car that will tempt anyone

2.       When you hear something outside, see something, do not go out and yell at the suspect(s). Call 911, get a description of the person(s) or car and stay on the line, do not alert the suspect. The officers will come in to the area from different directions and will be aware of the vehicle or person. More often the car is what they will locate and stop.

3.       Make sure every neighbor reports their incidents.  If it’s not in progress, call 206-296-3311 or file an electronic report at http://www.reporttosheriff.org/
